Knowing where you are going can be difficult when you haven’t taken time to really consider where you have been. With that in mind, we will begin by completing a survey that takes into consideration your health history. This process will allow you to reflect on your own health, while also considering the impact your family health has had on you.
Comment in the space below. Did you learn something new about yourself? Do you have a different perspective on your habits after reflecting on your upbringing? What do you notice about your current health compared to a year ago? Anything else strike you as interesting?
The second part of today's lesson includes intention setting. I'm aware that many people have strong opinions on this topic. I want you to imagine this topic is completely new to you. Goals are merely an idea of somthing that we consier to improve our life, situation, finances, or circumstances. What I want us to do is to set intentions. Setting intentions is a very different process.
So let's get started! Before you complete the form I have created for you, I want you to write down a few responses. Grab a cup of water, pen, and paper, cozy up in a quiet spot, and let your brain wander into the world of possibilities.
1. Think back to a time when you felt "healthy". What did you look like? How did you behave? What were you consuming? Who were you spending time with? Most importantly, what made you feel healthy?
2. Now, think back to the first time you felt "unhealthy". What did you look like? How had your behaviors changed? What life circumstances were occuring? Who were you spending time with (or not spending time with any longer)? What were you consuming? What made you feel unhealthy?
3. Let's look into the future for a moment. I know we aren't psychic and can't see into the future, but what if you could? What if you could create the perfect "you"? Write down who you are, what you look like, how you spend your days, who you spend your days with, and what you are consuming.
Okay. That was probably harder than you thought, so I'll make the next part easy. When you look to the future, I want you to fill out the form below based on what your future self looks like, how she behaves, and what she consumes. This is what intentions look like!
